Safety & Health Guidelines and Risk Waiver

At Dubai Desert Safari (https://dubaidesertsafariae.com/), the safety, health, and comfort of our guests are our top priorities. While desert adventures like Dune Bashing, Quad Biking, and Camel Riding offer unforgettable thrill and excitement, they are physical off-road activities.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please review our comprehensive health guidelines, age restrictions, and safety rules before participating in any tour.

1. Vehicles & Driver Safety Standards

  • Licensed Drivers: All our desert safari drivers are fully licensed, professionally trained in off-road driving, and certified by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DTCM).

  • Insured Vehicles: Our fleet of 4×4 Land Cruisers and Nissan Patrols are fully insured, regularly inspected, and fitted with high-grade roll cages, first-aid kits, and seatbelts for all passengers.

  • Mandatory Seatbelts: Under United Arab Emirates law, all passengers must wear seatbelts at all times while inside the vehicle.

2. Dune Bashing Health Restrictions

Dune Bashing involves dynamic off-road maneuvers over steep sand dunes. For your physical safety, the following health restrictions strictly apply:

Who Should Avoid High-Intensity Dune Bashing:

  • Pregnant Women: Due to sudden vehicle movements and terrain bumps, pregnant women in any trimester are strictly advised not to participate in high-intensity dune bashing.

  • Back or Neck Conditions: Individuals with chronic back pain, neck problems, spinal injuries, or recent orthopedic surgeries.

  • Heart & Respiratory Issues: Guests with severe cardiac conditions, high blood pressure, or a history of severe motion sickness.

  • Infants & Toddlers (Under 3 Years): Children under 3 years old are not permitted on shared dune bashing trips.

Family Option (Private Vehicle): If you are traveling with elderly family members, pregnant women, or toddlers under 3, you can book a Private 4×4 Vehicle. Our driver will take a smooth, non-dune-bashing direct route to the desert camp so your family can enjoy the dinner, camel rides, and live shows without any rough driving.

3. Quad Biking & Dune Buggy Safety Rules

Self-drive motorized adventure sports carry independent risks. Please adhere to the following safety protocols:

  • Age Limit: Drivers must be 16 years or older to operate a Quad Bike or Dune Buggy independently. Children under 16 may ride as passengers in multi-seat buggies under adult supervision.

  • Protective Gear: Helmets and protective goggles are provided and must be worn at all times during the ride.

  • Designated Zones: Riding is strictly permitted inside the designated desert perimeter or under the direct supervision of our guide.

  • Zero Alcohol & Drug Policy: Operating any motorized vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited by UAE law and will result in immediate cancellation without refund.

4. Camel Riding & Desert Camp Activities

  • Camel Riding: Mount and dismount camels only when instructed by the handler. Keep hold of the saddle handles during standing and sitting transitions.

  • Hydration & Sun Protection: Desert temperatures can be high. We recommend wearing lightweight, breathable clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen, and drinking plenty of water (complimentary bottled water is available in our vehicles and at the camp).

5. Voluntary Risk Waiver & Liability Release

By booking and participating in any tour or activity provided by Dubai Desert Safari, all guests acknowledge and agree that:

  1. You have read, understood, and agreed to follow all safety instructions provided by our drivers, instructors, and staff.

  2. Off-road activities (dune bashing, quad biking, sandboarding, camel riding) involve inherent risks including physical exertion, terrain changes, and unpredictable weather conditions.

  3. You participate voluntarily and assume full personal responsibility for your own physical condition and safety.

  4. Dubai Desert Safari and its personnel shall not be held liable for any personal injury, loss, or property damage resulting from failure to adhere to provided safety guidelines or non-disclosure of medical conditions.

6. Emergency Contacts & On-Site Assistance

All our vehicles carry active GPS trackers and direct communications with main Dubai emergency services. Our staff are trained in basic first aid.
